Here’s a fun ring-chooser – no scientific value whatsoever, but it might help steer you in a direction of one engagement ring or another if you’re struggling to identify your perfect ring.
Which of these sayings do you agree with?
- bigger is better
- the more the merrier
- the old ones are still the best
- good things come in small packages
- always on the go
- go against the flow
If you picked 1 – bigger is better, try our Halo range, with big juicy diamonds surrounded by smaller stones. More sparkle for your money. Some of our Halo engagement rings are shoulder set as well, meaning you get diamonds around the band, as well as circling the central stone. We have some Halo rings which are part of our new collection, which have a more delicate feel, but are still generously sprinkled with diamonds!https://ethica.diamonds/pc/lab-grown-diamond-engagement-rings/halo/
For those who chose 2 – the more the merrier, have you considered a Trilogy ring? These contain three diamonds, and are said to signify love past, present and future. Our trilogy rings are a charming collection of different styles, modern and more traditional, and you can decide between rings with three stones the same size, and ones with a smaller pair bracketing the central stone. There are also rings with five or more stones, which can be wedding or eternity rings, or whatever you want them to mean.
If there’s anyone who chose 1 and 2, we do have a bezel trilogy ring, Faye…
If you firmly believe that 3 – the old ones are still the best is true, our more vintage styles may appeal more to you. Some designs hark back to the 1920s, some have a delicate Victorian-lace feel, and others are simply classics.
If 4 – good things come in small packages is more your style, fear not. There are delicate rings to be found, as well as massive sparklers. Simply beautiful, and beautifully simple for people who simply aren’t that flashy. Lucille, in one of these designs and is one of our top five customer favourites, so you’re not alone!
5 – always on the go for the active person, never stopping, practical and busy, likely outdoors, whenever possible. You don’t want a ring that’s going to snag in your cycle gloves, or catch on the dog’s leash. Our range of bezel-set rings is perfect for you, with smooth settings, not claws, so there are no edges. One of the most unusual is the Amdis, where the stone is held between the two ends of the ring itself, but we have more traditional styles as well!
And 6 – go against the flow, you’re been known to go right simply because everyone else is going left… you never wanted a traditional diamond solitaire, and we say you don’t have to have one. We have some distinctly non-traditional rings, with settings that curl around, like the Viridis, shaped diamonds like the Aesa oval diamond engagement ring, and the possibility to design your own, if you want to go off piste even further.
We hope you have enjoyed our little journey through our range, and have seen something that grabs your attention. We should also mention that if the phrase ‘I Do’ is resonating with you right now, we also have a range of lovely wedding rings… but that’s another story!
