Large Carat Jewellery

Large Carat Jewellery

Good quality and large carat jewellery shouldn't just be accessible for the rich and famous. We think everybody should be able to wear the type of jewellery they dream of. Of course, you can find large carat jewellery in many high street shops, however, they are set with cubic zirconia.

This man made stone looks similar to a diamond but without any of the beneficial properties. It is quickly scratched, due to its low rating on the Mohs scale, and so its sparkle is short lived. It is simply a crystal cut in a way to mimic the look of a diamond. The lack of crystallised carbon is why CZ differs chemically, physically, and optically from earth mined and lab grown diamonds.

At Ethica, we offer our own product - the Ethica Diamond®, a lab grown diamond infused Moissanite. We also supply fully certified lab grown diamonds. Both are beautiful and make the perfect alternative to traditionally mined diamonds.

There are many important benefits of choosing the Ethica Diamond®, or a lab grown diamond, over a mined diamond. The main one is less impact on the environment and the people who live in the heavily mined areas. Although, for many they see the benefit in the price, and we can see why!

Many people come to us with inspiration from celebrity engagement rings. Those engagement rings normally cost hundreds of thousands of pounds which the 'everyday' person understandably cannot afford. We had a customer come to us who loved the Cartier ring worn by Hollywood royalty, Angelina Jolie. Unfortunately, that particular ring design by Cartier cost £199,000 (second hand). We worked with the customer and our bespoke jewellery designers to create this customer's dream ring for a fraction of the original price (at £17,000).

That being said, £17,000 is still a big budget so let us give some more everyday examples.
