On the 13th December 2021, Emma met Chris. Through a mutual friend and a joint love of running, they crossed paths (quite literally) whilst both on a group run. The pair bonded immediately, striking up a deep friendship that soon developed into something more - and they've been running together ever since. Emma says when she met Chris, she knew he was special.
The Proposal
Knowing Emma was the one for him, Chris didn’t waste any time and planned to propose on Valentines day 2022, just three months after they had first met. However, he was so excited once he got the ring that he couldn’t quite wait until the 14th, and so ended up proposing at home on February the 11th!
We asked Emma for her reaction...
“After being speechless for 5 minutes or so it was a big YES from me. I have never had anything so beautiful on my hand. I’m mesmerized by it everyday and get so many compliments on it too. I couldn’t have wished for anything better and Chris picked perfectly.
Chris researched rings online and came across Ethica Diamonds. Your customer service , help and care was top notch from the start so it was a no brainer to purchase my ring and our wedding bands ( with engraving ) from yourselves. Purchasing all three rings was nothing but superb. I love the little touches like the bag of rose petals and how beautifully the rings are boxed."
The Ring Details
Chris proposed with the beautiful Eleanor Ring, a timeless round solitaire set within four claws with daylight shoulders that lets maximum light to the stone for magnificent sparkle. Emma’s ring is set in Platinum with a glorious 1.50ct Ethica Diamond. Emma then chose to pair this with a classic 2mm court wedding band also in Platinum, engraved with hers and Chris’s initials and wedding date. This matches the Eleanor ring perfectly, making for a classic bridal set. Chris chose a Flat Edge band in 4mm in Platinum with matching engraving.
The Wedding
Chris and Emma tied the knot on the 8th April 2023, surrounded by their closest family and friends in the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The party continued with a reception back at their hometown of Newmarket, where they welcomed more of their family and friends for a big celebration! The day was perfect, a rustic theme with pops of yellow and dusky blue in the flowers and decorations.
Emma says her favourite part of the day was her son Jake walking her down the aisle and seeing Chris at the Altar.
“Big thanks again to yourselves for our perfect rings. Mark Lesley Bride for my beautiful wedding dress and Brides by Solo Bride Boutique for supplying it to me and making it fit so wonderfully."
We want to wish Chris and Emma a huge congratulations and a lifetime of love and happiness together!
Lots of love,
The Ethica Team x
